Baha’i Gardens and Golden Dome

Baha’i Gardens and Golden Dome in Haifa, Israel is one of the famous tourist spot in Haifa. Perfectly set in Zionut Avenue below Yefa Nof Street.

The one that dominates Haifa is the golden dome of Baha’i Shrine. It is the  place where Bahai Faith members put up their shrine and world center because of  its connotation to the Bahai Faith. It’s remarkable garden is consist of 19 terraces with magnificent flowers and fountains, with pathways made of red rubble and provides benches for tourist who visits the place. The wonderful Shrine of the Bab, one of the founders lays on the tenth terrace.

The shrine is composed of nine sides that symbolizes the nine major regions of the world, the beautifully made garden were inspired and designed by the doctrines of the Bahai Faith while the shrines dome which is made of 14,000 gold coated bricks with its height of 40 meter high. The garden was given the name ” The Eight Wonder of the World” for its close to perfection and magnificent sights that offers tourist visiting. It is also added to the Eleven World Heritage Sites in Israel last July 2008 by the UNESCO World Heritage committee.
