The El Gaucho Restaurant in Jerusalem set inside an old stone house is situated in the downtown Nahalat Shiva vicinity.  The stone building has arches inside, a flagstone floor with wooden tables and ceiling beams. It is created to resemble a South American lodge. The food, charcoal and all the decorations imports everything from Argentina.  If you are a steak lover, this restaurant is definitely a place for you.

All the meat in this restaurant is grilled.  If you have an enormous appetite, get ready to feast on their house specialty, which is a 1 kg steak or the El Gaucho platter consists of sausage chorizo, three empanadas and salchicha.

There are varieties of cuts of steaks that you could choose from and it is all served with French fries. The restaurant offers a business lunch special that consists of your choice of: steak or chicken, potato or fries, salad, bread, dessert and a drink. Aside from the business lunch, the restaurant offers various assortments. Their chimicyga is definitely a must-try. It is a mixture of vinegar, vegetables and fries intended to go along with the steak. The entrecôte or the chorizo, which is a sirloin cut with a chimichurri sauce that is parsley-based, is also mouth-watering.

For the people who prefer to eat non-meat, there are several options for you as well.  There are pasta and fish dishes, scrumptious chicken wings, salad, vegetarian platter, burgers and a menu for kids too.
