Oy Baby!

Ages 6 monthsto 5 yrs OyBaby is a first-of its-kind video and CD that combines stimulating imagery with beautiful and fun Hebrew songs to create a rich Jewish experience for babies age six months and up. The imagery is a colorful mix of Judaica, toys, puppets, nature, and children. Each song on the video has a blend of some or all of these elements. Between songs, short interlude scenes teach Hebrew letters, numbers, and vocabulary and show the joy of giving tzedakah.

However, the visuals are only half of the magic in OyBaby. The music is a captivating journey of familiar Hebrew songs for both babies and any nearby adults to enjoy. These are the songs you remember from summer camp and youth group. From the jungle-drum infused rhythms of Zum Gali Gali to a swinging jazz rendition of Eitz Chayim, this is one baby video parents won’t mind watching again and again. Lead musicians (and sisters) Stephanie Schneiderman, Lisa Schneiderman, and Kim Palumbis create soaring harmonies and soothing melodies on songs such as Ma Yafeh Hayom, Eli Eli, and Hiney Matov. Other tracks feature solo piano, a spirited group of children singing Dayenu, and a rousing rendition of the Yiddish party classic Cheri Bim Bam.

In fact, the music is so good that there is a companion CD that contains all of the songs heard on the video, plus 3 additional bonus tracks. This is music that moms will want to keep in their car and kids will ask for by name!
