NY, Officials Meet With Askanim On Traveling Safety Issues From NY To Montreal

This past Tuesday there was a meeting with askunim from Montreal and personnel from New York state police, Local sheriff, EMS, Fire & local hospitals in Essex County NY.

Rabbi Berish Freilich special assistant to the superintendent of the NYSP was instrumental in arranging this meeting and traveled from the city to lecture regarding the special needs of the Jewish community.

Essex county is located about 60 miles north of Albany, and covers a major part of the I-87, whuch is well traveled by members of the Jewish community who travel back and forth between Montreal and New York.
