There’s this myth going around that some people are starting to buy into. Maybe you’ve heard about it, it’s called true love. It goes under other names too. Like love at first sight. Or if you’re Jewish, that there’s another half of your soul floating around that you need to connect with in order to be happy.
Let me set the record straight here. That’s retarded. When someone feels like they’re lacking something that “only a certain man/woman can fill”, it’s a sense of security. They’re insecure, in other words. The person is not confident in their own abilities and is looking for someone to rely on. This is unhealthy, childish, Disney dating.
