Members of Baltimore Synagogue Visit Israel

This past week, over 25 members of Congregation Bnei Jacob Shaarei Zion (BJSZ) in Baltimore took part in a week-long chizuk (strengthening) and solidarity mission to Israel lead by the congregation’s rabbi, Rav Moshe Hauer.

The group had a full itinerary that included stops in all parts of the country, be it showing solidarity in Sderot, visiting Baltimore’s sister city Ashkelon, or checking on the welfare of Gush Katif evacuees in Bnei Netzarim.

“We went to give chizuk and provide support, but we were the ones who got chizuk,” said of the one participants in the trip.

The group also managed to find some time to have fun on the trip. This included both physical fun (riding ATVs in the rain and mud in the Shomron) and spiritual fun (participating in Kabbalat Shabbat overlooking the Kotel).
