Shema Yisrael-Modeh Ani (lasercut) – One of the times we recite the Shema is just before going to sleep at night, and we recite the Modeh Ani just as we awaken in the morning. In this manner we acknowledge and appreciate all that G-d bestows upon us throughout the day.
Translation:
Shema: “Hear O Israel, The Lord our G-d The Lord is One”. Modeh Ani: “I gratefully thank You, O living and eternal King, for You have returned my soul within me with compassion – abundant is Your Faithfulness!”
