Israeli producer Aviv Giladi has been named CEO of one of Hollywood’s largest production and international distribution firms, Icon UK.
The company was originally part of Mel Gibson’s Icon production company, but was sold to a British businessman while retaining the Icon name. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Icon UK is expected to direct its resources toward films budgeted at $15 million to $20 million.
Giladi is currently chairman of the RGE group in Israel, which specializes in television production and operates television channels Sport 5, the Children’s Channel and Channel 8.
