US museum seeks to identify Shoah kids

The US Holocaust Memorial Museum is trying to identify more than 1,000 children in photos that date from when they were scattered across Europe at the end of World War II and taken in by relief agencies.

The museum is posting the pictures, which are part of its collections, online and plans to publish many of the images in newspapers and online forums.

The museum’s “Remember Me” project seeks the public’s help in identifying 1,100 children among tens of thousands who were uprooted by the war.
