The delicate petals of a deep blue anemone suggest the elusive nature of the soul, bound to the physical, yet divine in essence. Three flowers in the background symbolize the passage of the soul as expressed in the Hebrew prayer incorporated in the painting – this world, the world to come, and the days of the redemption. Translation of Hebrew: ‘The soul You have given me is pure, You created it, You formed it, You breathed it into me, and You preserve it within me.’
Limited edition of 125. Each print is hand signed in paint by the artist on the front of the canvas. Each print is numbered and signed by the artist on the reverse side of the canvas. Israeli artist Myra Mandel includes a Certificate of Authenticity with each print. Giclee print on a heavy, textured canvas with a pronounced weave.
