Eight receive kidney transplants in largest swap at Northwestern

Eight people received kidney transplants from eight unrelated donors in the largest-ever kidney swap at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, hospital officials said today.
The eight-way “domino paired kidney exchange,” involving 16 patients from four states, is also believed to be one of the largest of its kind in the country.
